Weekly round up & race report

week ending Sunday 3rd April 2022

Last week’s events started off early with a small flock of stray lambs ditching club night for the short, punishing Rossendale Harriers Liver Hill Fell Race.

Dan Stacey, Lee Entwistle and Matt Smith took part in this out and back, up and down treat starting and finishing at Marl Pits Leisure Centre.

Saturday’s parkrunners were found in most of the usual places along with lone Rams at Wilmslow parkrun - Adrian Campbell, Hyndburn parkrun - Karen Leach, Hyde parkrun - Chris Swainson and Wepre parkrun - Paula Jones

This week's furthest adventurers were Ben Knight and Stephen Yates who took on Parke parkrun in Torbay.

Sarah Sutcliffe put down a marker for the ladies with an impressive 20:53 at the anytime Club Championship event at Peel parkrun.

A special mention to Catherine and Luisa Shield who both completed their 100th parkruns at Heaton parkrun.

On form Paula Pilling wasn’t ripping it up at Bolton this week because she was resting before ripping it up as the lone Ram at the Trotters 5. Paula finished third lady overall and picked up an age group win whilst she was at it.
