It was quiet week for racing, but never mind the quantity.
Matt Smith took on the beautiful looking Edale Skyline Fell Race. 35K of scenic ridges surrounding the Edale valley.
David Ardill was in Wales for the wonderfully and aptly named Beast of the Blacks. A stunning 30k run with over 1500m of elevation.
Somewhere along the way David bumped into trail royalty Damian Hall, who won the race despite having time for selfies.
Over in the Cayman Isles Andy Morrison took part in the Colour Me Purple 5K in an incredible 19:19 on what was probably quite a warm humid morning.
parkrunners popped up in the usual places with Neil Rothwell achieving an incredible 17:20 PB at Heaton Park and Chris Swainson beating his previous best at Burnley in 20:51.
A gaggle of Rammy ladies rocked up at Rothay Park on Saturday as part of what was undoubtedly a wholesome weekend of outdoor fun and healthy living in the Lakes and a similar numbered but probably better-behaved group had a go at our anytime Club Champs event at Pendle parkrun.
Elsewhere Sacha Cooper brought the sunshine to Morecambe Prom parkrun, David Rudman cantered around Newbury parkrun, Adrian Campbell enjoyed Fletcher Moss parkrun and Sandra Powers and Andrea Sidebottom ventured to Trentham Gardens parkrun.
