Hi Bev, tell us what you do for a living?
I’m Head of the Accounts Department (of one) for a medium sized family Haulage business
How and why did you first get involved with RRC?
I was struggling to stay motivated at my old running club and when Rammy cropped up I thought it was an ideal opportunity to learn a few more routes closer to home.
What is your favourite running memory or moment?
Completing my first ever Marathon, the now disbanded Bolton Hill Marathon in 2013.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us...
I actually quite like running (I know, shocking to those that hear me blaspheming up hills when taking part in a race)
Who would be your 4 fantasy dinner guests (dead or alive)?
Gordon Ramsey, Gino D'Acampo, Anneka Rice, Princess Diana
What is your pre-race routine?
Set alarm very early, cup of tea, force down porridge, second brew, toilet and set off too early to make sure I can park up. I stress more about the parking than the actual race.
OK onto the quick-fire round…
Favourite book?
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Favourite film?
I rarely stay awake long enough to see a film through but Top Gun would be my all time favourite
Favourite band?
The Smiths (again - sorry)
Favourite parkrun?
Heaton Park, just because it's where I started my running journey 10 years ago (and has the sweet spot of being my 5K PB)
Who is your running hero?
Haile Gebrselassie. His win at the 2012 Great Manchester Run inspired me to enter the following year.
What would you choose as your Mastermind specialist subject?
Crimes solved by Inspector Rebus
You are in lockdown and can only eat one thing for the next 21 days, what are you having?
Malt Loaf with butter
